Vladimir Khalafian, MD

Hello! I'm Dr. Khalafian. I serve as the Medical Director of La Jolla Therapy Center. As a board-certified psychiatrist, I specialize in the assessment and treatment of adults ages 18 and older.

I bring extensive experience across a wide range of psychiatric settings, including inpatient, outpatient, intensive outpatient, and court-ordered treatment programs.

​

Throughout my career, I have served in leadership roles, including as Medical Director of Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital, and was selected as Chief Psychiatric Resident during my training at UC San Diego.

​

As Medical Director, I provide clinical oversight and consultation to support the practice's commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care.

​

I help ensure that our team remains current with emerging research and best practices in mental health treatment.

​
